What are Casement Windows?

Casement windows (also called crank windows) are usually tall and thin, opening out with the use of a hand crank. A casement window sash is hinged on the left or right side and includes accessible lever locks at multiple points for security and a weather tight seal. They open wider than other window styles, making them ideal for places that require extra ventilation like the kitchen, bathroom or basement

TRUSCENE® INSECT SCREENS

With over 50% more clarity than our standard screens, Truscene Insect Screens are virtually invisible. Constructed with a micro-fine stainless steel mesh, they let more fresh air and sunlight in, while keeping even the smallest insects out.

You choose how many squares comprise each sash.

A classic style with two vertical bars in each window.

A design that always includes two vertical bars and two horizontal bars on each sash that create a “picture frame” look.

This pattern features two horizontal bars and two vertical bars per window instead of per sash.

Hardwood grilles allow for easy glass cleaning as the grill snaps into clips on the sash interior that can be easily removed. Available in two widths.

Gilles Between The Glass

This aluminum pre-finished grille is permanently installed between the panes of glass to provide the speedy glass cleaning of a smooth surface. Available in two widths and an array of colors.

Full Divided Light Grilles

A permanently attached exterior Fibrex® grille, an aluminum spacer between the glass, and a permanently applied (or removable) interior grille makes this a visual replication of true divided glass. Also available in two distinct widths.

We're in the process of replacing all the windows on the main floor. Steve Tuttle, the Installation Manager, stopped by this morning to measure all the windows and verify the window choices we made, earlier. Steve arrived exactly on time and well prepared to do a thorough job of measuring for installation. Steve is professional in both attitude and action. This seems to be a trait exemplified by all the employees of Renewal by Andersen of Alaska. Our experience to this point in the process has been fantastic. I requested Renewal by Anderson of Alaska to install a picture window for a circa 1940's log house. Quote process was professional and thorough and Mel Ramos did an excellent job with the proposal and setting up the subsequent filed measurements for window fabrication.

Brian Harris did the field measurements and proceeded to do an exacting evaluation and explanation of the process. The age of the log house made the project interesting.
